Russo's Pharmacy - New Castle PA

John Russo Jr., the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Russo Sr. of Junior High Street, graduated from New Castle High School in 1951 and went on to receive a pharmacist’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1954. He was subsequently employed with the Central Drug Store in New Castle, was married to the former Carolyn Naples in September 1956, and served a stint in the U.S. Army. He opened his own pharmacy (shown above) at #926 Croton Avenue in c1960. He operated this drug store for many years and later went to work as the pharmacist at the Giant Eagle on Route 422 in Shenango Township. (1964) Full Size
