Fisher Hotel - Frisco (Franklin Twnp) PA

Text Coming Soon!

Fisher’s Hotel was established in Frisco by Simon Fisher (shown standing in front of building) in 1881 – a full decade before Ellwood City was founded. Simon Fisher (1833-1917) was a carpenter by trade and owned considerable property in the area. He helped found the small settlement of Frisco and served as its first official Postmaster beginning in December 1882. The building, sometimes called the Frisco Hotel, served as a hotel, general store, meeting place, and post office. It was razed in about 1937. I believe the hotel was located somewhere on the modern-day property of Nalco. (c1900) Full Size
