The Homewood Cemetery is a small, antiquated burial ground located in the Borough of Homewood in Beaver County. It was established in about 1860 as a community cemetery. Many members of the Foster and Stephenson families, as well as a handful of Civil War veterans are buried here. The cemetery, located along Norwood Drive south of the village, has long since been abandoned. There are many broken and damaged gravestones, but the property is still maintained today. It’s not to be confused with the historic Homewood Cemetery located on the east side of Pittsburgh. (Mar 2013) Full Size |

I would like to know if there is a list of names of those buried in this cemetery. If anyone reading this post knows where one might exist, I would appreciate if you could email me at vcorbin11@hotmail.com

The old sandstone tombstones by the sidewalk are illegible now. but,at on time the burial for one of these was 1827.

I have the most accurately revised studies on this cemetery. The cemetery is owned and always has been by the Homewood United Methodist Church. It was donated by the Freed family, early pioneers in Big Beaver Township’s small village of Homewood. The village founders are buried here along with eight Civil War Veterans, some sent home for burial during the conflict.
